Chef Richelle Ortiz, with over 15 years of culinary experience, has made significant contributions to the Filipino food scene. Notably, he played a pivotal role in establishing popular Filipino restaurants like Kabayan and Mc Davids, which have expanded to 5 branches and continue to grow. His expertise extends beyond Filipino cuisine, as he is a Specialty Chef skilled in Italian, French, and International dishes. Chef Ortiz has also worked at renowned establishments such as La petite Maison and Plaisir Du Chocolat Café and Restaurant.
His commitment to excellence is evident through his certifications in Food Safety and Catering, as well as his status as a Certified Person in Food Control under the Dubai Municipality. Furthermore, Chef Ortiz successfully launched two unique restaurant brands: Carinderia ni Tandang Sora and Uling at Parilya, each with its own distinctive concept and signature menu offerings. He firmly believes that the key to his kitchen’s success lies in collaborative teamwork.
